UPDATE: As expected, the 9800X3D is again out of stock on Amazon
In case you missed it, the big launch of the new best CPU for gaming, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, took place yesterday. You better act quick though, as we suspect it won’t be around for much longer.

9800X3D available for $479 at Amazon
Head on over to the Amazon store page as soon as you can if you’re looking to grab this new CPU. Advertised as the “world’s fastest gaming processor” on AMD’s latest Zen 5 architecture, the 9800X3D is a beast for gaming – 20% faster than Intel’s most recent flagship 285K.
Retailing at $479, this is exactly AMD’s recommended price tag, so you don’t risk being overcharged like you may do from eBay resellers as we saw recently. At the time of writing, the 9800X3D is still sold out at Best Buy and Newegg, but we hope to see it make its return to those retailers as soon as possible.
