It’s safe to say that the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 is one of the best gaming monitors available right now. High refresh rate, incredible response time, and stunning OLED visuals make for a top-tier display on the current market. On top of that, you could argue that the 1440p resolution offers the best balance of visual fidelity and achievable native-res performance for PC gamers.

And now, Samsung has launched its third version of this OLED monitor. Boosting it up to 500Hz, a new OLED G6 is now available to pre-order on the Samsung store. Labeled “The world’s 1st 500Hz OLED monitor,” Samsung has slashed $200 off the price tag if you pre-order before launch day on May 18th.

As you can see above, the 360Hz OLED G6 is your cheapest option right now – cheaper than the 240Hz model. This is thanks to an ongoing 22% discount on Amazon, so if you’re looking to upgrade without breaking the bank, this is your best bet. We don’t know how long the limited-time discount will last, so be sure to check it out as soon as you can.

Samsung announces world’s first 500Hz OLED monitor

Swiftly moving on to the new OLED G6, we can see that its specs remain the same as the prior models. The stand-out feature is, of course, the upgraded refresh rate. Samsung usually likes to claim world-firsts in display technology. We’ve seen several high refresh rate displays releasing recently (such as a 600Hz Acer Nitro), but Samsung is the first to do it with OLED.
