Someone has already made a simple tool to enable Nvidia’s DLSS Override “for all games”

Table of Contents
DLSS 4 arrived recently with the launch of the RTX 50 series. So far, it is available in around 75 games and apps (you can check out the full list of DLSS 4 supported games here), though only a handful of those titles offer native support; in other words, the option to toggle on features such as Multi Frame Generation directly in-game.
That’s where DLSS Override comes in – a set of options in the Nvidia App that allows you to utilize DLSS 4 features in titles without native support. While we wait for more games with DLSS 4 options in-game, Override offers much-needed functionality. And now, a user has already made it possible to make DLSS 4 work in any game – not just those whitelisted by Nvidia.
DLSS Override For All Games now available on GitHub
This open-source tool is now available on GitHub, created by ‘kaanaldemir‘ – so all credit goes to them. It “provides a graphical interface” that modifies a file in games to unlock the DLSS Override option. Thankfully, it also creates a backup in case you need to revert the changes. The tool automatically fills in the default file path, making it easy to use DLSS Override in any game; it speaks to the following keys:

As you can see from the screenshot above, kaanaldemir has managed to get DLSS Override working on a bunch of titles that aren’t currently available via the Nvidia App. Examples include Counter-Strike 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl. It’s important to note that the developer says this tool “will not enable DLSS on unsupported games” but some games with DLSS support cannot be overridden in the Nvidia App, so this tool amends that.
There are a couple of prerequisites to know about before you use the ‘DLSS Override For All Games’ tool, namely Python 3 and PyQt6. Once those are installed, you can clone the repository and get straight to trying out DLSS 4 features in games that aren’t currently whitelisted by Nvidia.
