Steam is well-known for hosting regular sales events on the storefront, giving PC gamers the chance to bolster their library with (soon-to-be) favorite games at discounted prices. Players recently enjoyed the Steam Winter Sale, which featured massive discounts across the board. Now, another, smaller sales event called the Detective Fest is live on the platform.

As the name already suggests, the Detective Fest focuses on games filled with mysteries and crime. The sale appears to be pretty solid, as we’re seeing deals offering up to 95% off. But of course, the biggest discounts are on older games. Valve said last year that it plans to experiment with “more niche” Steam sales in 2026, so expect more sales like this in the future.

Best Steam Deck games under $10 in the latest Detective Fest

If you’re a Steam Deck owner looking to expand your game library without spending too much, this sale is a great opportunity, as you can find plenty of great titles listed for just under $10. While this budget might seem low, you can score some popular hits like Detroit: Become Human and Disco Elysium with change to spare.

With that said, here’s our hand-picked selection of the best Steam Deck games available for under $10 in the latest Detective Fest. To make it obvious how much you’re saving, we’ve included the original price for comparison.

As you can see in the table above, we made sure to select verified games only. For those who are new to the Steam Deck, Verified games basically run smoothly right out of the box, so you don’t have to worry about making any adjustments to improve performance. In any case, do keep in mind that the sale will conclude on January 19 at 10 AM PT, so you have around six days (at the time of writing this) to make the most of the discounts.
