With its global launch taking place towards the end of February, information on the Xiaomi 14 has started to surface. Though specifics on the upcoming smartphone’s features remain scarce, its price has seemingly been revealed, and it will reportedly be similar to the 512GB iPhone 15 Plus.

That’s according to GSMArena and Greek site Techmaniacs, which said the Xiaomi 14 would be priced at €1,099 (around $1,199). However, that’s just for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version. You can also opt for a faster device with more storage by selecting its 16GB RAM/1TB storage counterpart, though this option will predictably set you back even more. Now, the Xiaomi 14’s price isn’t exactly shocking, considering its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13, was priced at $999 upon release. And that was with only 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Not quite a pro’s Pro

Unfortunately, the news isn’t all good for fans of the Chinese smartphone brand. Per Techmaniacs, the Xiaomi 14’s Pro variant will apparently not be released in Europe. This likely means it won’t be launched outside of China at all. However, it is worth noting that this may be because Xiaomi is allegedly looking to replace its Pro series smartphones with the Ultra models instead. Of course, this has yet to be confirmed, so you’ll need to take this with the customary grain of salt.

When is the Xiaomi 14 release date?

According to a Twitter/X post from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 14 release date will be on February 25, 2024. However, it’s currently unclear whether this will be a reveal or the product’s launch since Techmaniacs listed February 29 as the smartphone’s official release.

Whichever date the Xiaomi 14’s release lands on, it’s safe to say fans are eager to grab one for themselves. But if you aren’t convinced of its capabilities, you can learn where to buy the OnePlus 12 instead for an equally powerful and slightly cheaper alternative.
