With the release of Samsung’s new mid-range phone, many will be comparing the Samsung A54 vs A53 – but which is best for you?

If you’ve been following new smartphone releases as of late, you might have seen that Samsung have just put out the A54. Samsung’s A54 follows the A53, the new model’s predecessor which was released in early 2022. The new phone is similar in many ways, but also includes some major changes. Although many of the specs between these two phones remain relatively the same, there are some key differences which should be noted. The processor on the A54 is far faster and more powerful than its predecessor, with Samsung promising 20% and 26% improvement in performance on the CPU and GPU respectively. Also, despite the new camera coming in at a lower MP, its improved sensors should mean better quality photos.

Currently, the A54 comes in at around $449.00. This is fairly affordable for a brand new mid-range smartphone.

The A53 ranges in price depending on whether you get it new or refurbished, but it is currently at $374.99 on the Samsung website. That’s around $125.00 in difference. It’s a pretty hefty saving, something worth considering if you’re not after the boosted performance of the A54.

The Samsung A54 was released on April 6th, 2023. It is now available across major online retailers and instore.
