How to fix network error in Once Human

If the error isn’t going away on its own and a simple restart has failed to fix it, you can try following these methods.

Step

1

Check if the servers are fine

Before troubleshooting the issue, check if the servers are up and running. The main cause of network related errors is ongoing  server maintenance.

To check the server status, you can visit the game’s official Twitter/X account. Or, you can join the official Discord server and search for announcements. If there is anything wrong with the servers, then there’s nothing you can do except wait for the developers to sort it out.

Step

2

Check your internet connection

If the servers are fine, then there could be something wrong with your internet connection. To confirm this, contact your ISP and ask them if there’s a problem with your connection.

If everything is good at your ISP’s end, there may be a bug or glitch in your router that may be causing the network error in Once Human. To resolve this, simply turn off your router and remove its cable from the power outlet. Then, plug the cable back in after five minutes and turn the router on.

Try playing Once Human again to see if the error has disappeared.

Step

3

Make sure your Firewall is not blocking Once Human

If Once Human is blocked by your Firewall, it won’t be able to access the internet, which will result in a network error.

To fix this, you need to allow Once Human in your Firewall.

  • Type ‘Firewall & network protection’ in the Windows Search Bar and click on the first option that appears.
  • Click on ‘Allow an app through firewall.’
  •  Now, click on ‘Change settings’ and then select ‘Allow another app.’
