Usually listed for $1,199.99, you can now grab one of LG’s impressive 34-Inch Ultragear WQHD gaming monitors for just $684.99. That’s a massive 43% discount, which is exclusive for Prime members during Prime Day this June. This month’s event is taking place between June 23 and June 26, so you don’t have long to make the most of this fantastic OLED monitor deal.

While we tend to see many Prime-exclusive deals during the event, the interesting part about this discounted 34GX900A-B model is that it’s also on offer for regular customers, though you will pay a little extra ($699.99). It’s a great deal nonetheless, and bags you a curved ultrawide monitor ideal for immersive high refresh rate gameplay – and extra real estate outside of gaming, too.

Why we like this LG OLED gaming monitor deal

Stunning LG OLED panel

The LG 34GX900A-B is fitted with an OLED panel that offers up to 1,300 peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. As an OLED, it offers excellent color accuracy and infinite contrast (thanks to OLED panels being able to turn off pixels individually). On the technical side, this means 98.5% of DCI-P3 color coverage and a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio.

34-inch ultrawide display

This monitor’s 34″ panel features a ‘steep’ 800R curvature, which is designed to wrap more around your vision for a more immersive experience. This is obviously ideal for gamers, but it’s also a boon for productivity, too. The UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio are ideal for work thanks to the extra real estate, albeit fewer pixels than a 4K monitor.

Excellent specs & features for gaming

HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 standards allow for high refresh rate gaming, with the LG 34GX900A-B offering a fast 240Hz refresh rate for super smooth visuals and 0.03ms response time. The latter helps minimize any potential ghosting in particular. In addition to the hardware specs, this gaming monitor is also supported by FreeSync Premium Pro and is G-Sync Compatible, both of which offer “ultra-smooth, tear-free visuals” by syncing your refresh rate to your in-game framerate.

Who is this monitor deal for?

Ideally, you’re an Amazon Prime member shopping around this week, because that nets you the best value. Failing that, you’re still getting a good deal on the LG 34GX900A-B here. We’d recommend this ultrawide display for anyone looking to move beyond the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and enjoy a more immersive gaming experience. Ultrawide support is now widespread in games, so there’s usually no need to worry on that side of the equation. Even without official support, modders often find a way.

This is an ideal deal for those upgrading to OLED for the first time, upgrading to ultrawide for the first time, or a double-whammy with both upgrades. No doubt that you’ll notice the difference if you’re jumping from an older, smaller, lower refresh rate monitor. Just make sure you have enough desk space to cater to it.
