WQXGA display for crisp picture quality
This particular model opts for a 2560×1600 resolution display, which comes in at 165Hz. That’s great for gaming in QHD+, even though the RTX 5060 mobile is best used for 1080p, and on a screen this size (16 inches), it’s going to ensure that you can see details and textures very clearly.
Ample 1TB storage and a solid 16GB of DDR5
The storage here is ideal for those who are going to be using this gaming laptop to play a handful of favorites, rather than building a huge gaming library, and at 1TB, it also helps keep costs far more affordable, too. Its RAM is also more than enough for the RTX 5060 mobile, as it’s not overkill for what you’ll likely be using it for, which is FHD gaming at high to ultra settings, and lighter to moderate creative work, such as photo or video editing.
Thin and lightweight for ultra portability
This laptop comes in at just 0.65 inches thick and weighs only 4.18 lbs, making it a very strong pick for taking on the go, but still providing exceptional gaming performance without the added bulk.
Alternatives to consider
Gigabyte gaming laptops are very good value, especially if you’re after a higher resolution QHD+ display, which is typically where the overall price starts ramping up. I’d say for similar bang for your buck, maybe even a little better in some respects, Thunderobot gaming laptops are well worth looking at. This Thunderobot RTX 5060, QHD+ gaming laptop has 32GB of DDR5 and a very good 13th-gen Intel processor, and is going for $1,299.00 on Amazon right now, and I’d say if you’re looking for as much bang for your buck as possible, but still with higher specs, then this could be worth checking out while it’s still on sale.
