There are many budget processors from Intel and AMD available, but if you’re looking for the maximum savings without compromising performance, check out the Ryzen 5 7600X. This is the Ryzen 7000 entry-level CPU, and right now it has a whopping 40% slashed from its MSRP. It’ll cost you only $179.98 with this offer, which is honestly a steal.

This processor is more than capable of being paired with powerful processors, but if you’re aiming for a budget build, it can be easily used with graphics cards like the RTX 5060 Ti and the RX 9070 XT. So, we think it is worth a second look, and we’ve also reviewed it in-house, so you can check out the benchmarks before making your decision.

What this processor brings to the table

For starters, this is a 6-core and 12-thread processor with a 105W TDP. This generation moved away from efficiency with higher TDPs, but that also resulted in better performance, albeit with higher temperatures as well. However, with a solid CPU cooler, there isn’t anything to worry about. With this processor, you’ll need an AM5 motherboard along with a pair of DDR5 RAM, which is why the AM5 platform is expensive to get onto.

However, once you’re there, you should be good to go for years to come. We tested this processor by pairing it with the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and it churned out the following figures:

Days Gone236 FPS / 1% 62 FPS
Cyberpunk 2077295 FPS / 1% 149 FPS

This processor is an excellent option that covers productivity and gaming performance exceptionally well. Moreover, with this offer, it’ll cost you even less, and the best part is that you won’t have to tweak the settings to bring it up to 105W like you would have to do with the Ryzen 5 9600X. So, we think it is certainly worth the price tag and should provide a good entry into the AM5 platform.
