Over at Newegg, it’s a great time to score a budget-friendly RTX 5060 gaming PC for less and grab some free extras in the process. This Stormcraft Sirus gaming PC is currently $150 off, down to just $949.99, and it comes with Tomb Raider: Legend of Atlantis and Star Wars Galactic Racer for free; both of which look awesome, in all honesty.

Now on to the PC itself, which is a solid option for FHD gaming. You’re getting Blackwell features, like 8GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM and MFG, which help it punch above its weight. For gaming at high settings, and even 1440p with a few tweaks, this card makes a lot of sense if you’re sticking to a prebuild budget of under a grand. The CPU also makes a lot of sense here. It’s the Intel Core i5-14400F, which is a popular budget-friendly option that isn’t unnecessarily overkill for the RTX 5060. You’ve got 10 cores, 16 threads, a 4.6 GHz boost clock speed, and 20MB L3 cache, which add up to a well-balanced processor for both gaming and multitasking.

On the RAM and storage front, it’s relatively basic, as expected, but still more than enough. 16GB of DDR4 is enough to handle most games easily, and a 1TB SSD gives you a decent amount of storage, even for large AAA titles. Cooling is quite robust, too, with its tower cooler fan and 6 ARGB fans for optimum airflow. Again, it’s appropriate and not overkill for the configuration. Its 650W 80+ Gold PSU is not too shabby either, providing ample, steady power while remaining efficient.

Reasons to Buy
  • About as cheap as you can get for an RTX 5060 build
  • Smartly selected GPU and CPU pairing
  • 1TB SSD provides a decent amount of storage
  • PC case, airflow, and cooling are all quite impressive for the price
Reasons to Avoid
  • DDR4 RAM and ‘only’ 16GB
  • LGA 1700 socket CPU is not quite as future-facing as the newer LGA 1851 socket

Who is this PC deal for?

This PC should be able to handle AAA games in FHD at high settings well, and will be a solid pick for many competitive titles in particular. It’s about as budget-friendly as you can get for an RTX 5060 prebuild.

That being said, where I think it wins over other budget-friendly options is with its overall design, strong cooling architecture, and its appropriate choice of components. For me, a build like this makes more sense for the price than opting for something like an RTX 5060, Intel i7-14700F prebuild, for example, from a price-to-performance perspective.

How good is this deal?

It’s not particularly rare to see these RTX 5060 builds dip below $1,000, especially those with DDR4 and 14th-gen Intel CPUs, but with the extra games thrown in, it certainly sweetens the deal here. Can you get cheaper? Perhaps, but you’ll likely be running into very basic, very small PCs with questionable cooling and quite uninspired aesthetics, too. Plus, they’re usually only around $20 cheaper, from my experience.
