ABS Flux II Aqua Gaming PC Powered by Asus, GeForce RTX 5070 12G
What we like about this ABS Flux II Aqua gaming PC
Excellent all-rounder graphics card for the price
The RTX 5070 is a brilliant graphics card for QHD gaming in particular, and sits nicely between the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070 Ti in terms of VRAM, too. With 12GB, you’re getting enough to handle more demanding textures in games, but it also lends itself well to more demanding creative workflows, like working in 3D or video editing with heavy effects. On the creative front, its AI capabilities and even ray tracing improvements can help improve workflows, and its dedicated encoding hardware is certainly a big win for video editors and streamers. Overall, it’s a very strong pick for the price.

A strong CPU for gaming, multitasking, and productivity
With 20 cores, 28 threads, a 5.3GHz boost clock speed, and 33MB L3 cache, this Intel i7-14700F is a very well-balanced processor that really does tick most of the boxes. For gaming, especially in QHD, it’s going to keep the RTX 5070 well fed, ensuring smooth gameplay with minimal latency. For multitasking, like streaming or running background applications, it’s well suited, as it is for more demanding creative workflows, which often benefit from high core and thread counts.
Loads of RAM, and it’s DDR5
It’s not always the case that you get DDR5 as standard or 32GB, and while it does drive the price slightly higher, it’s still well worth it with this configuration. Of course, gaming performance will be smoother, and you have more headroom for future game releases, but it’s really the non-gaming tasks that will see the most benefit here. For video editors and streamers, for instance, this is going to greatly improve overall performance and ensure everything feels snappy and responsive.
Things to consider before buying
As expected for this price range, the main areas it scales back on are its smaller SSD, which is 1TB, and its older CPU. It’s pretty standard to see this in RTX 5070 builds that are between $1,500 and $1,800, from my experience, but if you did want something a bit more future-facing, going up to $2,000 would get you something akin to an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K. This would be more future-proof, too.
Now I would say that you can find RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, Intel i7-14700F builds for closer to $1,500, especially at Newegg with its ABS builds. These are worth exploring if you want something with more VRAM, but less raw power (as they have a lower CUDA core count, for instance).
