The Amazon Spring Deal Days sales are live, and it looks like it’s one of the best times to score an Alienware prebuild for less. This Alienware Aurora gaming PC is now £250 off, and has been reduced from £2,149.00 to £1,899.00, which looks to be its lowest price ever, according to price-tracking data (although it doesn’t seem to have updated yet on camelcamelcamel). This premium gaming PC brings a lot to the table. Not only does it boast high-end Alienware build quality and aesthetics, but it also packs an RTX 5070, Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF, and 32GB of DDR5. This combo makes it a PC that’s going to be excellent for 1440p gaming, but also a powerhouse for content creation and productivity. For under £1,900 for an Alienware prebuild, this is a steal.

Key features of this Alienware Aurora RTX 5070 gaming PC

Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF processor

Loads of RTX 5070 prebuilds opt for 14th-gen processors, which are great, but if you want something more future-proof, then an Intel Core Ultra 7-265KF build is a great way to go. In short, you’re getting some different architecture in this lineup compared to the 14th-gen, which allows for higher DDR6 support, faster multithreaded performance, and better efficiency, but with slightly less punchy gaming performance in some scenarios. The 7-265KF is essentially a quality pick if you’re looking for something very well-rounded, and great for more than just gaming. It features 20 cores and 20 threads, so for multitasking, rendering, and tasks like streaming and running background applications, it’s great. For gaming, you’ve got a decent 30MB L3 cache and a 5.5GHz boost clock speed, so it’s well-suited to the RTX 5070’s target 1440p resolution, but can also handle 4K, too. RTX 5070 graphics card

The RTX 5070 is one of the best graphics cards to go for if you’re looking for quality 1440p performance without completely breaking the bank. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which brings with it a whole host of generational improvements, which give it the leg-up on many of AMD’s, albeit brilliant, competitor 1440p cards. You’ve got 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and faster, higher bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM, of which the RTX 5070 has 12GB. For creatives, you’ve got 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders, designed to significantly improve video quality, exporting times, and more, plus Nvidia Broadcast, which leverages AI to make practically any room a studio; a big win for content creators. RAM and storage

Not every RTX 5070 build has 32GB of DDR5, so this configuration is a big win. This amount of RAM works very well with the all-rounder nature of this prebuild, as it’s going to be very effective when playing more RAM-intensive games, like Cyberpunk 2077, for example, at high settings, supporting much smoother gameplay, and it’s going to help creative workflows feel far more responsive. For instance, 4K timeline scrubbing in Adobe Premiere Pro will be much faster, as will handling of multiple heavy applications at the same time, which is a common occurrence with most creative work. A 1TB SSD is fine, but I’d say a 2TB would be better for this type of setup, especially if you plan on saving both dense media files and large AAA games to the same SSD, which will fill up fairly quickly.

Things to consider

In short, opting for a Ryzen AM5 processor is likely to be your best bet if you’re after superior gaming performance and a similar level of future-proofing, too. Now the Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be the obvious choice, as it’s pretty much the best gaming CPU on the market, but the Ryzen 7 7800X3D would also be worth considering for something less expensive. Personally, I’d go with the 9800X3D, as it features better thermals and a slightly higher 5.2GHz boost clock speed to the 7800X3D, but of course still keeps the massive 3D V-cache, which is designed to store more data for faster access, lower frame latency, and improved 1% lows.
