What we like about this iBuyPower Y40 Pro gaming PC
Ryzen 9 9900X gives it punchy gaming, multitasking, and workstation capabilities
If you’re looking for high refresh rate, low frame latency gaming, alongside excellent multitasking capabilities and handling of demanding creative workflows, then this 9 9900X is one of the best CPUs you can pair with the RTX 5080. It has a 5.6Ghz boost clock, 64MB L3 cache, 12 cores, and 24 threads, which essentially makes it the ideal all-rounder for content creators, streamers, power users, and gamers.
RTX 5080 is a powerhouse for 4K gaming, ray tracing, and content creation
With advanced Blackwell features, like 16GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen RT cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and MFG, to name a few, this card is epic for gaming but also packs a serious punch for demanding non-gaming tasks, like video editing and working in 3D. Much like this gaming PC, it’s one of the best ‘do-it-all’ graphics cards on the market.
32GB of DDR5 keeps gaming, productivity, and multitasking super smooth
It’ll reduce microstuttering in demanding AAA games, give you headroom for work on large files in Photoshop, Blender, and more, and allow for heavy multitasking with ease.
Loads of storage for hybrid users
If you’re planning on using this PC for work and play, then 2TB of storage is going to give you more than enough room for a large gaming library and a huge amount of files, like 4K footage, large PSDs, and more.
Impressive cooling and design
You’ve got a powerful iBuyPowr 360mm liquid CPU cooler and RGB fans to keep this rig operating at its best even under heavy and sustained loads, and that’s housed in a stunning PC case with tempered glass panels for a premium, eye-catching finish.
Comes with a keyboard and mouse
The icing on the cake when it comes to plug-and-play functionality. All you need here is a decent monitor, and you’re good to go straight out of the box.
How good is this deal?
So from my experience finding and writing about gaming PC deals, and tracking prices, I’d say that this is genuinely a good deal for an RTX 5080 model with a Ryzen CPU taht’s higher core count.
Generally speaking, while you can find RTX 5080 models with high-core-count Intel processors for the same price, maybe even a touch lower, Ryzen variations tend to carry more of a premium. Case in point, if you want to be completely shocked, check out RTX 5080, Ryzen 9 9950X3D models, which are so expensive, I’d suggest just going for an RTX 5090 build instead!
Either way, it’s a solid deal and a premium build that ticks all the boxes in my opinion, especially if you’re strong on gaming and workstation performance. If gaming is just your thing, go for a more affordable Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080 build instead, which can be found hovering around the $2,900 mark in most cases.
