RX 9070 GRE graphics card with 12GB VRAM drops closer to MSRP in Prime Day deal with 22% off
Table of Contents
It’s safe to say that graphics card prices lately haven’t been too pretty. Both Nvidia and AMD models have been climbing as a result of AI-fueled memory shortages, but Amazon’s latest Prime Big Deal Days event has come along to soften the blow. A deal on the GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 GRE has dragged it down by 22%, from its $729.99 list price to $569.99.
The GRE model was originally launched as a China-exclusive GPU, but it finally got a worldwide release date on June 1st, 2026, meaning it’s been available in the United States for a few months now. It originally hit the market for $549, so while this Prime Day deal hasn’t quite undercut MSRP, it does finally make the 12GB graphics card close to what it’s actually worth.

Why you should consider this RX 9070 GRE deal
Latest-gen AMD graphics
The RX 9070 GRE belongs to AMD’s latest RX 9000 series, making it a future-proof option for desktop PC gamers. These RDNA 4 graphics cards come with support for AMD’s latest FSR 4 technologies, including machine learning-based upscaling and frame generation. Plus, with the rumor that AMD might only launch one RDNA 5 GPU next year amid component shortages, there might not be a go-to successor any time soon.

12GB VRAM
The most popular GPU among Steam users is Nvidia’s RTX 5070 with 12GB VRAM, and this GRE model from AMD matches that. With more and more AAA titles eating up memory, even at lower resolutions, upgrading from 8GB has become more of a priority for gamers. Although it’s not as good as a 16GB card, 12GB is plenty enough in many titles for 1080p and 1440p gamers. Price hikes affect the higher VRAM cards the most, so 12GB cards have become a more reliable source of value.
More price hikes expected to come
Graphics card prices are only rising, so now might be one of the last times to pick up a model close to its original MSRP. The current market price hikes don’t seem to be slowing down, though Radeon GPUs have been holding out longer than their rival Nvidia counterparts. That may not last long, though, as AMD GPUs are expected to get a price hike in Q4 2026.
