Thermaltake paired the best gaming processor with one of the best graphics cards in the Reactor 9880, making it one of the best gaming PCs that you can get your hands on. This is the pairing of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the RTX 5080. It features a unique PC case that gives it a vertical orientation and a smaller footprint compared to others. This will help you save space if you were looking for a low-profile prebuilt, but it doesn’t skip out on any of the good stuff.

There are two 140mm and seven 120mm fans to ensure adequate airflow, but the 9800X3D will be exclusively cooled by the 360mm AIO CPU cooler, meaning you can push it to its limits. 32GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD will keep this PC running efficiently, while the robust X870 motherboard gives it a very reliable foundation. Overall, considering everything it has to offer, a $3,799.99 price tag doesn’t seem so bad.

What the Reactor 9880 has to offer

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

There is a reason why the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best CPU for gaming in the world; however, just chalking it up to gaming would be underselling it. The design changes that mounted the 3D V-cache under the CPU cores allowed for higher voltage and the processor to be overclocked. This means that it can be overclocked for enhanced performance, but since the cores aren’t limited and the IPC uplift of Zen 5, this processor straight up outperformed the Ryzen 7 9700X in our Ryzen 7 9800X3D review.

So, now it is truly a well-rounded offering that doesn’t even break a sweat in single-core tasks, but its multi-core performance allows it to handle professional tasks very efficiently as well.

RTX 5080

We have reviewed the ASUS RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition, ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC, and the RTX 5080 FE. The summary of their performance is that nothing you can throw at it would bother it, and a system that has this GPU and dedicated 16GB VRAM can handle AI, 4K native gaming, content creation, and other GPU-intensive workflows with ease. This future-proofs the Reactor 9880, as you’ll be able to handle gaming and productive workflows in the foreseeable future without any hassles.

360mm AIO

Since the 9800X3D can be overclocked, a robust CPU cooler is a great choice. This will ensure that you can push it to its limits without the performance breaking down due to thermal throttling. This will also come in handy when you’re running sustained heavy loads, so keeping the processor cool will ensure stability for that process.
