When buying an RTX 4090, you need to be careful. Nvidia makes some of the best graphics cards on the market, and their RTX 4090 is their most powerful card to date. As a result, it’s an expensive and highly sought-after GPU which creates an opportunity for scammers on Amazon to try and make a quick buck by listing RTX 4090s well below their average market price.

In the past, we’ve seen them cropping up for as low as $1,000, and there currently appears to be one on Amazon for $1,499.99 which you can find more details on below. This PNY GeForce RTX 4090 deal is not that. It’s had a $130 drop from its typical price of $1,849.99, making it the cheapest, legitimate, new RTX 4090 on Amazon. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is

After a short browse on Amazon for the RTX 4090, this one from PNY is currently your best bet if you’re looking to spend the least amount of money possible on a new RTX 4090. You can find the next two cheapest options below:

ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 – $1,799.99

You may also notice what appears to be a Gigabyte RTX 4090 for $1,499 on Amazon, sold by ‘Make America Great again’. A quick look at this seller’s page shows some one-star reviews mentioning a scam and these have been crossed out and ‘fulfilled by Amazon’.

Additionally, the brand here is ‘NENAGO’, where you would normally expect to see something like ‘Visit the GIGABYTE store’. While this brand does appear to sell legitimate products, it’s worth airing on the side of caution, especially with the incredibly low $1,499 asking price. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is…

Our take on this PNY RTX 4090 GPU deal

Prices for Nvidia’s RTX 4090 can fluctuate drastically and they have generally been a bit higher than usual this year. We consulted camelcamelcamel to see the Amazon pricing history of this PNY RTX 4090 and it has climbed down to a new low in price since coming back in stock over 4 months ago. So, we think you’re getting pretty good value, even though the 7% discount doesn’t sound like much.
