This punchy MSI RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC has crashed to its lowest price ever for Prime Day
Table of Contents
Prime Day deals are rolling in, and it’s looking like it’s a great time to bag a prebuilt PC for less. This MSI Codex Z2 is currently on sale, and with a substantial 29% discount, knocking it down to $1,499.99. That’s its lowest price ever, too, making it a great time to buy.
This PC features an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB graphics card, which is a great option for primarily FHD gaming, but also decent for QHD when you leverage features like DLSS and MFG. It’s also not a bad shout for budding content creators, as it’s able to handle video editing tasks well, and has features like Nvidia Broadcast, too. That’s paired with a Ryzen 7 8700F, which is a decent, cost-effective processor that’s often found in mid-range 50-series gaming PCs. It offers enough cores to handle multitasking well, making it good for streaming, running background apps, and more, and its boost clock speed and L3 cache are solid for high fps gaming with reduced latency.
MSI Codex Z2 Gaming Desktop
On top of this, you’ve got 16GB of DDR5, a 1TB SSD, an RGB CPU Air cooler system with four fans, and WIFI 6E connectivity for speedy online gaming, streaming, and downloads. For under $1,500, it’s on the upper end of RTX 5060 Ti 8GB builds, but it’s well worth it as it’s a higher-end MSI gaming PC, with exceptional build quality, design, and latest-gen components. Read on for a closer look at what we like about this PC, and for more of our top Prime Day deals.

What we like about this MSI Codex Z2 gaming PC
RTX 5060 Ti is a solid budget-friendly graphics card
This card is a great way to go if you’re looking for something that’s a level up from the base RTX 5060 model, and offers punchier performance across the board, without being overly expensive. The big win here is that it’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, so you’re getting something with improved ray tracing and tensor cores, and exclusive features like MFG.
Ryzen 7 8700F keeps this build cost-effective
What’s good about this CPU is that it’s not overly specced for this build, which helps keep costs much more reasonable. It features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5GHz, and a 16MB L3 cache. It’s a solid all-rounder, and since it’s an AM5 CPU, it’s a good starting point for future upgrades.
Simple, yet sleek design with MSI’s Mystic Lighting
This may not be the flashiest PC in the world, but it’s undeniably MSI thanks to its simple, understated design and aRGB system, which is easily customized either through the MSI Center software or cycled through via the MSI LED button.
It features a good amount of RAM and storage for the price
With 16GB of DDR5 RAM, you’re going to get smoother in-game performance and an overall more responsive experience for multitasking and productivity. Its storage is 1TB, which is fine, and helps control initial costs, too, especially with the price of both RAM and storage being sky high as of late.
Things to consider
As mentioned, this is a slightly higher-end RTX 5060 Ti model, so you’re paying a bit more of a premium for its build quality, components, and design. I often come across RTX 5060 Ti 16GB models for a touch more from brands like Stormcraft, which can be found on Newegg, and they tend to have Intel i7-14700F processors and more RAM, too. The trade-off is that they’re not as future-facing with upgrades due to their 14th-gen LGA 1700 socket CPUs, but they’re worth considering if you’re still weighing up your options.
