This Skytech Chronos mini gaming PC is still sitting at its lowest price on Amazon, coming in at $1,699.99 with a hefty $300 discount. This RTX 5060 PC is quite an interesting and unique build, as it basically packs a seriously good CPU in the form of the Intel 7 270K Plus, which is both future-facing and a powerhouse for productivity and creative workflows, alongside boasting impressive gaming performance, too. On top of that, you’ve got 32GB of DDR5, allowing it to handle more demanding games and tasks more adeptly. And even though this PC is on the smaller side, there’s still a robust 360mm AIO cooling system to keep it running at its best.

I’ll break down this PC’s key components below, but if you’re short on time, here’s what you need to know. This build is designed for excellent FHD gaming performance, multitasking (like streaming, running background apps, recording video), and relatively demanding creative workloads. In terms of pricing, it’s well towards the upper end of what you’d pay for an RTX 5060 build, but you’re essentially paying a premium for its design, build quality, cooling, and outstanding CPU. If you’re interested in a productivity powerhouse that also boasts excellent FHD gaming performance, then this is a great pick at its current price.

What we like about this Skytech Gaming Chronos mini gaming PC

One of the best CPUs for hybrid usage

The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus packs 24 cores and 24 threads, which is significantly more than what you’d usually find paired with an RTX 5060 (like an i5-14400F or Ryzen 7 8700F). This unlocks exceptional multitasking performance and makes it far more adept for creative workflows, too. For gaming, it’s excellent, as it has a 5.5GHz boost clock speed and a 36MB L3 cache. This larger cache is especially important when gaming at higher frame rates in FHD, and again, notably larger than most found with an RTX 5060.

RTX 5060 graphics card punches above its weight with Blackwell features

5th-gen tensor cores for powerful AI acceleration and exclusive features like MFG, 4th-gen ray tracing cores for improved ray tracing performance, and faster, higher-bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM are just some of the features where the 5060 has the edge over most FHD graphics cards. It may only have 8GB of VRAM, but it’s still more than enough for FHD gaming, and an excellent option for competitive gaming in particular.

A lot of RAM makes this far better for modern gaming requirements, and more

With 32GB of DDR5, this machine is better primed for new releases and heftier system requirements than something with 16GB. On top of that, this amount of RAM is going to help improve workflows when working on demanding and complex creative projects, too.

Robust cooling and PSU round this build off nicely

It’s good to see some liquid cooling here for the punchier 7 270K Plus, and multiple fans to help with ambient temperatures. Its PSU is also a bit punchier, coming in at 650W with an 80+ Gold rating for excellent efficiency.

Things to consider

For the price, you may want to consider an RTX 5070 build, as it will be roughly the same. Now, be warned: don’t expect a CPU like this one, as you’ll likely be getting a Ryzen 7 8700F in my experience, which is fairly lacklustre on paper compared to the 7 270K Plus. I’d also expect 16GB of DDR5 instead of 32GB at this price point, too, so that’s worth factoring in.
