F1 Manager 2024 is out now on all platforms, and some reviews are praising it as the ‘best game the series has to offer.’ If you’re planning on playing this on the go, you’ll need the best laptop for the job, and since the game isn’t too demanding to run, there are plenty of options.

We’ve reviewed a number of laptops here at PC Guide and have selected what we think is the best laptop for those looking to play F1 Manager 2024. That said, we’ll admit it’s a little overkill for most, but remember that laptops aren’t just for gaming – they’re for productivity, business, and everyday usage (such as streaming F1 or even playing some more demanding racing games like F1 24 itself).

We understand that F1 Manager isn’t a demanding game like Cyberpunk 2077 or Red Dead Redemption 2, which require a top-tier GPU and CPU for smoother performance. That being said, if you want to enjoy the game, you’re better off going for something that’ll make easy work of it and showcase it in all its glory (especially the ‘non-menu’ elements of the game).

We reviewed the MSI Stealth 17 Studio and found it to be an excellent choice for both gaming and productivity tasks. For starters, it comes packed with the RTX 4080 12 GB laptop graphics card paired with the Intel Core i9-13900H. The RTX 4080 is one of the most powerful GPUs available in the market, and it can help run demanding games smoothly at high graphical settings. in addition, the i9-13900H is an excellent processor for CPU-intensive tasks, as it packs 14 cores, 20 threads, and a max boost frequency of up to 5.40 GHz.

As far as the display is concerned, the MSI Stealth 17 Studio boasts a 17.3-inch Mini LED 4K screen with a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. On top of that, its brightness maxes out at 1000 nits, so the screen is usable outdoors and in well-lit environments. Having a higher resolution screen is ideal for games which are more menu and text heavy. 4K resolution on laptop screens looks fantastic, and as I write on my…pfft…FHD screen, I must admit I’m always thinking about the difference.

For faster speeds and plenty of storage, the laptop comes with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM paired with a 2TB NVMe SSD. This is completely overkill for this game, but will allow you to handle a number of AAA titles should you wish to, and store them on your laptop without too much slow-down.

Since you’ll likely be using this for more than just playing the game itself (we wouldn’t judge if not), it’s worth speaking about design. Most gaming laptops tend to look very toy-ish, in some senses, which can make it a little jarring to use in an office…well, not at our offices mind you.

MSI also did a great job when it comes to its design, so we’d think this is a solid choice for your main productivity laptop as well as something you can use for gaming.

As we mentioned, this laptop is 100% overkill for just playing F1 Manager 2024, but out of the laptops we’ve had the pleasure to review, we think it’s an excellent option for those looking to play the game with ease and use as an excellent productivity laptop too.

Alternate options

For alternatives for different budgets, we’d say the Acer Nitro 5 is a great shout. It’s a budget gaming laptop that comes with a RTX 3050 GPU, 512 GB SSD, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and a 15.6-inch 144 Hz display. It’s a popular choice for a lot of people who want to get something for gaming, but can pass on the 4K and super high-end GPU.

Here are a few more selections worth checking out, all of which will have no issues running the game.

Conclusion

Overall, if you’ll be playing demanding games alongside F1 Manager 2024 and will be engaged in productivity tasks as well, then we think the MSI Stealth 17 Studio is the best option. It packs a serious punch when it comes to performance, and it’s also a future-proof option. But if budget is an issue for you or if you have no need for such a powerful laptop, then you can explore budget options like the Acer Nitro 15.
