If you’re on the hunt for a cracking PC for 1440p and 4K gaming, but also something that can handle demanding creative and productivity tasks, then this is the deal for you. Right now, this iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC is down $320 on Amazon, and has been reduced from $2,299.99 to $1,979.99. That’s a great price, especially as this build essentially does it all. It features a powerful RTX 5070 Ti 16GB graphics card and a high-core and high-thread-count Ryzen CPU, the 9 7900X, which is an outstanding all-rounder ideal for gaming, content creation, and more. Additionally, it features 32GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM and a large 2TB SSD. We think it’s a real winner for the price, and well worth jumping on while it’s reduced.

Key features of this iBUYPOWER Y40 PRO gaming PC

RTX 5070 Ti graphics card

This is one of the best graphics cards for 1440p and 4K gaming you can buy. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which means you’re getting significantly improved ray tracing and AI performance, thanks to its 4th-gen ray tracing and 5th-gen tensor cores. It also boasts 16GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM and has new features like DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. For creatives, you’ve got dual Nvidia Encoders, which allow for much faster video exports and support for new codecs like H.264/HEVC 4:2:2 10-bit color. Overall, an excellent all-rounder graphics card.

Ryzen 9 7900X processor

This is an excellent processor for those looking for top-tier gaming performance, multitasking, and something that’ll handle creative tasks with ease, such as video editing. Unlike its X3D counterparts, this CPU has a much higher core and thread count of 12 and 24, making it far more adept at multitasking. For gaming, it’s a beast, and features a big boost clock speed of 5.6GHz, and a very large 64MB L3 cache. For high-end graphics cards like the RTX 5070 Ti, this is a solid pairing, and since it was released a couple of years back, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck, too. Storage and RAM

Standard operating procedure here, as this build has 32GB of DDR5 and a 2TB SSD. This is a good choice for this build, as it’s going to help with gaming, but also give you enough headroom for RAM-intensive creative applications and heavy multitasking. The SSD is also ideal for split usage, allowing you to store a large gaming library, alongside any dense media files, like 4K footage, for instance.

Things to consider

There’s really nothing we can fault here. It’s a great PC for the price, and ticks a lot of boxes for both gaming and non-gaming usage. The only thing we’d suggest, if you’re looking to save a bit more cash, would be to look at some of the RX 9070 XT prebuilds, too. These have comparable raw performance to RTX 5070 Ti models, but are typically less expensive. The trade-off is that you’re not getting some of the latest-gen components and new features of Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, but that being said, the card itself is built on the latest RDNA 4 architecture and does have improved ray tracing and AI capabilities.
