Anyone who wants to buy a new graphics card faces an uphill battle at the moment. However, signs from inside the industry suggest that AMD customers are set to have an easier time than those opting for Team Green if new leaks are accurate.
YouTuber Moore's Law is Dead, sometimes known as MLID, has been a regular source of leaks regarding CPUs and graphics cards for a number of years. He has collected a huge number of contacts that provide him with accurate information on what we can expect from the likes of Intel, Nvidia, and AMD.

AMD is reportedly shipping way more RNDA 4 cards than Nvidia’s 50 series
According to MLID, one of his best sources when it comes to gauging supply.” The industry source works for a major online retailer and spoke about the situation concerning Nvidia's RTX 50 series cards as well as AMD's new RDNA 4 cards.
The source said: “Over the past week we've started to receive shipments of RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 GPUs. However, AMD is still delivering two to four times as many RDNA 4 GPUs as all weekly Blackwell shipments combined. Nvidia is improving, but they are still a fraction of the GPU shipments we receive compared to AMD.”
This confirms that retailers are now getting regular resupply from Nvidia, but does show that Nvidia still has constrained supply compared to AMD. Also notable was that the RTX 5090 was not mentioned, with MLID saying his sources tell him it: “Might as well not exist.”
AMD is shipping far more than Nvidia, but even this supply seems not to be enough to meet demand. As MLID says: “Looking around AMD cards are getting refreshed almost daily, but they're also selling quickly. This is because people really do want them.”
It seems AMD finally has the graphics card to challenge Nvidia's dominance, and Team Red is doing a better job of keeping them in stock. Even so, the race isn't over yet. AMD has already explained what it can do to deal with RX 9070 series price hikes and the short answer is: ramp up production. Between AMD’s comments and this new leak, that seems to be exactly what is happening.
