AMD Ryzen AI 300 APUs are the talk of the town as they are competing toe-to-toe with the likes of Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, straight from a brand that is famous for manufacturing top-notch mobile chips. So, many are wondering whether the Zen 5 APUs built on RDNA 3.5 architecture and featuring XDNA 2 NPU cores would have the power to dethrone Qualcomm.

That said, even though we've seen leaks of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370's performance, and those results are pretty impressive, another leak from Golden Pig Upgrade suggests that the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 isn't the most powerful AI APU – there’s more to come.

AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 series so far

The Ryzen AI 300 series has three APUs: Ryzen AI 9 HX 375, Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and Ryzen AI 9 365. All of these have a 28W TDP and similar boost clock speeds, and the cores and threads for the top two APUs are the same, while the third one has more humble specifications.
Considering this information and the Geekbench performance we saw, if AMD is working on “bigger” Ryzen AI 300 APUs, which could mean they are more powerful, we could be in for a treat. Other than that, Golden Pig Upgrade Pack also mentioned “Ryzen AI Max Plus,” which could be another lineup or the name for the “big” Ryzen AI 300 APU(s) they are working on.

We don't have more details yet, but whatever it is, we're sure it'll make huge waves in the AI CPU industry as more laptops are coming with these AI-powered APUs.
