Apple Pro and Tell event start time, countdown clock, what to expect, and what’s announced so far

Apple is preparing to hold another event this month, just a few weeks after its Welcome Home showcase. The upcoming event is called “Pro and Tell” and is scheduled for today, October 28, in Los Angeles. This time, Apple is set to focus heavily on its Mac lineup, and the company has already made a couple of major product announcements leading up to the event.
Unlike Apple’s traditional launch events, Pro and Tell is expected to be an all-day hands-on gathering for selected members of the press rather than a typical keynote. On top of that, Apple is expected to introduce its new products through announcements and potentially short videos during the day.

Apple’s Pro and Tell event will begin today, on October 28, at 10 AM Pacific Time. If you’re wondering how that looks in your region, we’ve put together a list of time zone conversions below. Plus, a countdown clock (which will disappear once it expires).

What to expect from Apple Pro and Tell
The biggest announcement could be a major MacBook Pro redesign with the rumored MacBook Pro Touch. Apple is reportedly preparing new 14-inch and 16-inch models with OLED displays and touchscreen support, which would bring the latter technology to the Mac for the first time. The laptops could also replace the familiar display notch with a Dynamic Island-style camera area while becoming lighter than the current models.
Interestingly, these higher-end MacBook Pros are expected to stick with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than moving to M6 Pro and M6 Max. Meanwhile, the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro has already received the newer base M6 chip without getting the same major redesign, as announced yesterday.
The 24-inch iMac is another device that could receive an M6 upgrade. In this case, however, the processor may be the main change, with the overall design expected to remain largely familiar.
Finally, Apple has already introduced a new OLED iPad mini. It’s powered by the same A20 Pro chip found in the iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max, as well as the iPhone Duo. Despite upgrading to OLED, it’s still only locked to a 60Hz refresh rate.
Everything said, only the M6 MacBook and OLED iPad mini have been confirmed so far, so we’ll find out later today regarding the other rumored devices.
