If you’ve been meaning to try Battlefield 6, but don’t want to fork out the cash for it, now’s your chance. EA recently announced a free-to-play trial for the game’s multiplayer mode. The trial lets players jump in without buying the full game, and it’s a great opportunity to see what the new Battlefield is all about.
The free trial began on November 25 at 4 AM PT and will run until December 2 at 4 AM PT, giving players a full week to try the game. If you’re interested in the trial, you don’t need to download Battlefield 6. Instead, select maps and modes from Battlefield 6 are available through Battlefield REDSEC. So if you already have REDSEC installed, you can start playing for free right away.
When does the Battlefield 6 free trial end?
Here’s when the free trial will end across a range of regions worldwide, on December 2:
- US Pacific – 4 AM PST
- US Eastern – 7 AM EST
- United Kingdom – 12 PM GMT
- Germany – 1 PM CET
- Mumbai, India – 5:30 PM IST
- Sydney, Australia – 11 PM AEDT
- Auckland, New Zealand – 1 AM NZDT (December 3)
The free trial includes three playlists across three different maps. Two of these maps are the newest ones added to the game: Eastwood and Blackwell Fields. EA says these playlists offer a more casual multiplayer experience, so even new players can jump in without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a good way to test weapons, learn the maps, and get used to the gameplay.
If you already play REDSEC, there’s even better news. All progress you earn in REDSEC, like Career Rank, Hardware Unlocks, Levels, and customization items, will carry over into the free trial. And if you decide to buy the full Battlefield 6 game later, all your progress will continue there as well. Battlefield 6 is also available with a 15% discount on Steam right now, knocking the price down from $69.99 to $59.49. The Phantom Edition, which includes additional content, is also 15% off.
