Aside from waiting for major Steam sales to arrive, Fanatical bundles are another way of saving cash on games to fill up your Steam library, whether you’re on PC, laptop, or a handheld like the Steam Deck. At the moment, Fanatical is running a ‘Build your own Special Editions Bundle’ for Fall 2024, which lets you save big for a limited time.

You can choose from 17 games, all of which are some kind of special edition version as the name would imply. This includes some popular titles like Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition and Dishonored Definitive Edition. As many of these are bundles or complete editions, you get extras like expansions and DLCs for each game.

What does the Fanatical Special Editions Bundle offer?

As you can see, out of 17 titles, 6 are verified and 4 are playable on Steam Deck, with various others reportedly working well despite no official rating. It gets a little trickier with this bundle in particular due to many of the items featuring more than one game within, whether it be DLC or a bundle of its own.

The ‘playable’ games need some settings before they can be played on the handheld PC. Meanwhile, the games with ‘unknown’ status may or may not be properly supported on Steam Deck. Since this is a build-your-own bundle, you can just pick and choose what you know will work well on the Deck.

Is the bundle worth it?

Now, if you decide to get more than five games, then you get each game for $3. If you select less than five games, then they will cost you slightly more. Considering that each item has more than just the base game, we think you’re getting great value for $3. For example, the Frostpunk: Game of the Year Edition includes 3 expansions, 1 season pass, the original soundtrack, and a digital art book.

In case you missed it, Fanatical also has a build-your-own Platinum Collection bundle as well as a Steam Deck-friendly Elder Scrolls bundle that you can check out if you’re looking to expand your Steam Deck’s library.
