Corsair’s new keyboard perfect for streamers comes with a built-in Stream Deck, now available for pre-order

Corsair has started a spree of releasing products at this year’s CES. We already had the expansion of its Sabre V2 Pro lineup with the metal variant, and now we’ve got our eyes on the Galleon 100 SD. A mechanical keyboard that integrates a Stream Deck directly into it. Elgato Gaming, the brand behind the Stream Deck, has been owned by Corsair since 2018.
Taking advantage of the range of acquisitions, Corsair is utilizing Elgato’s tech and cutting down the need for a number of devices on your desk if you want to have the most control and insight to hand. No longer requiring a separate Stream Deck to your keyboard, the Galleon is a great option for streamers and those wanting control without sacrificing space.
Using a full-size gaming keyboard form factor, it does take up quite some room already and weighs an impressive 2.706kg, so it isn’t made for portability and taking it places. It certainly reminds me of the be quiet! Dark Mount I reviewed last year, but does lack the modularity of that. Instead, the two dials, 12 buttons, and 720×1280 LCD screen stay attached and provide the full extent of Stream Deck customization.

Generally, the keyboard can be controlled via the web hub, but the Stream Deck part needs its own app to utilize it. The app allows you to drag and drop commands into it, install plugins, and utilize a load of community-made profiles on the marketplace.

Profiles let you change what the multi-function rotary dials and shortcut keys give you quick access to a range of controls right next to your keyboard, and not far out of reach. So, with the combination of folders and profiles per game, it is a very adaptable and universal bit of hardware to enjoy.
The keyboard with Corsair MLX Switches is now available for pre-order from their site. At a cost of $349.99 and an expected release at the end of January, it’s not a long wait, but an expensive investment for a keyboard, where the Dark Mount costs $249.99. But to be fair, a Stream Deck+ costs $199.99, so a $150 price on top for a full keyboard does make it a bit more justifiable.
