The annual Steam Autumn Sale kicked off this year on November 27 and will be running until December 4. That gives you a week to make the most of the event and we’ve been seeing a ton of great discounts since the event began. Whether you’re looking for Steam Deck games under $10 (or under $5), game bundles, or some first-ever discounts, the Autumn Sale will sort you out nicely.

However, one blockbuster title that doesn’t seem to be taking part in the sales is Elden Ring, nor is its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The last time we saw a discount on the base game according to SteamDB was in September; prior to that was the Summer Sale, both at $41.99. However, if you’re looking to get into a souls-like for cheap, why not pick up Dark Souls itself?

Sadly, the original Demon’s Souls has yet to see a PC release, and we’re not sure if it ever will at this rate. So, going back to Dark Souls which was originally released back in 2011 is a good place to start if you’re looking to play a souls-like game for the first time, or just haven’t given this (now) classic a try yet.

So, head on over to the Dark Souls Franchise Sale page on Steam if you want to check out these deals – every single item is 50% off, including DLCs. Both Dark Souls and Dark Souls II have been remastered, the latter gaining the ‘Scholar of the First Sin’ subtitle. Interestingly enough, the original DS2 is still available on Steam, though we’d recommend the remaster as it’s the same price anyway and features several quality-of-life fixes, albeit with balance changes.

All DLCs for Dark Souls 2 and 3 are also on sale. Your best bet is just buying the season pass, as this will give you the best value for money. However, you won’t need to buy any of these DLCs if you bought any of the premium editions listed above; the Remastered, SotFS, and Deluxe Editions come with all associated DLCs as standard.
