The Steam Autumn Sale is now live, meaning you can grab hundreds of titles at discounted prices. The biggest discounts we’re seeing are (unsurprisingly) for older titles, with some of them even listed at 90% off. That’s something we noticed when picking out the best deals for Steam Deck owners, but you shouldn’t sleep on smaller discounts either.
While there aren’t any significant discounts on new releases, there are two fantastic games released this year that have received their first-ever discounts during the Autumn Sale – Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Hades II.
Space Marine 2 and Hades II are on sale – how much will you save?
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 9, and in just one month, Focus Entertainment managed to sell more than 4.5 million copies. This is enough to tell how successful the game is. On top of that, it has a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam with more than 90,000 reviews. Right now, it is listed for $47.99 on Steam, which is 20% less than its original $59.99 price tag.

The game lets you play as Lieutenant Demetrian Titus, and the story is set after the events of 2011’s Space Marine. You’ll engage in fast-paced combat against a range of enemies, and you get the luxury of using a wide range of weapons. The game also offers different PvE and PvP modes, where you can build your own Space Marines, unlock new skills, and choose from six unique classes. According to SteamDB, this is the first time it has been on sale.
Next, have Hades II (again SteamDB reveals a first-time price drop). This game was released into early access back in May of this year, and after around six months, it is finally available at a discounted price. Right now, you can grab it at a 10% discount on Steam, which has taken its price down to $26.99 from $29.99. This game has also been a success, and it even hit 103,567 simultaneous players on Steam during its first 24 hours. For reference, the first Hades game has a maximum peak of 38,942 concurrent players on Steam.
In Hades II, you play Melinoe, the Princess of the Underworld, who is on a journey to defeat Chronos. The core gameplay is similar to the original Hades game, which involves pushing through different levels, engaging in intense combat, and upgrading the abilities of your character. As you progress through the game, you’ll explore new realms, encounter mythical creators, and unlock new weapons and abilities. In contrast to Space Marine 2, you can run Hades II on pretty much anything, we tested the game on a low-end system to find the best settings and enjoyed smooth gameplay, even on integrated graphics.
Both games will be available at discounted prices until December 4. After that, the Steam Autumn Sale will conclude, and both will most likely return to full price.
