In-store shoppers, here’s where you’ll find the Nintendo Switch 2 in stock on launch day

Table of Contents
Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the most anticipated handheld gaming consoles, and the community can't wait till June 5th to get their hands on it. However, while pre-orders have been live since April 24th in the U.S., the in-store stock may prove to be hotly contested when the Switch 2 hits shelves.
While we can’t comment on how Nintendo will handle the demand, they are working to ensure that the people who go get it have a smooth playing experience, as plenty of existing Switch games are being ironed out for launch. Over in Japan, the company has actually been restricting sales on third-party marketplaces, but we haven’t seen anything like that in the U.S. yet. There are a handful of retail stores that will have the stock for the Switch 2, and Staples has recently joined the ranks.
Where you can get the Nintendo Switch 2 in-store in the U.S.
Not every retail store will have the Switch 2 available. The ones that will be stocked up are the following:
Best Buy is said to open early morning or late at night to control the rush, while Target, reportedly, has between 40-60 units available per store.
Staples has most states covered
Staples has also announced that they will have stock of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5th, but it'll be limited to 1 unit per person, for fair distribution, and they'll give the units on a first-come come first-served basis. Staples stores will only have stock in the following states:
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Florida
- Georgia
- Iowa
- Idaho
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Massachusetts
- Maryland
- Maine
- Michigan
- Missouri
- Montana
- North Carolina
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New Mexico
- New York
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Virginia
- Vermont
- Washington
- West Virginia
- Wyoming
So, if you’re in any of these states, you may be able to visit your nearest Staples on launch day and fight for your chance to grab a Switch 2. They also shared a complete list with the addresses and zip codes, if you want to see which store is the nearest to you.
Keep in mind that it’ll be tough to get your hands on one, as many fans will most likely camp outside of retail stores in hopes of being the first one through the door. That being said, preorders have been live for a while now, and after June 5th, you should be able to order online. Previously, there was a rumor that each GameStop is getting 100 units of the Switch 2. However, we still won’t recommend letting your guard down because we still think the demand might outmatch the supply.
