The launch of Team Blue’s new Intel Arc B580 seems to have been a success, with the card selling out soon after its release. Dubbed in reviews as “a budget card that doesn’t suck for once,” the B580 offers excellent value for money and the low price tag is likely one of the reasons why it sold out so quickly. Although, it isn’t immediately clear how much stock Intel was actually putting out – we’d suspect the launch was a pretty lightweight one to help test the waters.
In any case, finding the B580 is a struggle right now (unless you want to pay a premium for GUNNIR cards shipping from China, and that’s not something we’d recommend). Likewise, we’ve found Intel’s reference ‘Limited Edition’ card going for $600 on eBay – the same price as an RTX 4070 Super. It’s true that the B580 “wins in value,” but not at that price.

- Base clock speed: 2,670 MHz
Intel Arc B580 listed for the same price as a 4070 Super
As we can see from the eBay listings below, someone is attempting to sell the reference card for as much as $600. When you look on Amazon, you can find multiple models of the 4070 Super for the very same price.
- ASUS Dual RTX 4070 Super EVO OC – $599.99
- Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super Windforce OC – $599.99
- ZOTAC Gaming RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge – $599.99
In other words, there’s no reason to buy the B580 if this is the kind of budget you’re working with. There are also third-party models of the B580 going for cheaper, but these are still far too expensive for what you get – we’d recommend trying to find one around the $249 MSRP from a trusted retailer.
We’ve already compared the Intel Arc B580 vs RTX 4070 Super and it’s clear that the Nvidia card comes out on top. It was released with an MSRP of $599, compared to the B580’s $249, so you’d expect it to. For a quick comparison, here’s how the specs of the two GPUs compare.

In our RTX 4070 Super review, we praised its “strong performance in 1440p and 4K” while offering 20% more CUDA cores than the original 4070. We regularly rate this graphics card as one of the best for 1440p or entry-level 4K performance. On the flip side, the Arc B580 aims to take on mid-range RTX 4060 and RX 7600 GPUs and it does so extremely well, targeting 1080p and 1440p performance and offering excellent value if you can actually find one for a decent price.
