As the launch of Intel’s next generation of Core Ultra processors seems to be drawing closer, MSI seems to be gearing up to release new motherboards for the lineup. Even though AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series was launched last month, we’re yet to see new motherboards for it, as the current 600 series has sufficed for now (note that AMD is skipping 700 altogether).
However, it looks like we won’t have to wait for too long, as manufacturers like MSI are gearing up to release more than a dozen motherboards. As spotted by @harukaze5719 on X, the company has registered 16 new products with the EEC.
MSI has registered 16 new motherboards with the EEC
According to the recent EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) filings, MSI has listed 16 new motherboards, including both Intel Z890 and AMD’s X870 and X870E chipsets. To be more specific, MSI has registered four new X870 and X870E chipsets and 12 Intel Z890 motherboards.
Starting with Intel, it looks like MSI has plans to release MEG, MPG, PRO, and MAG models. Here’s a complete list of products that were seen on the EEC website:
- MEG Z890 GODLIKE
- MEG Z890 ACE
- MEG Z890 UNIFY-X
- MPG Z890 CARBON WIFI
- MPG Z890 EDGE TI WIFI
- MAG Z890 TOMAHAWK WIFI
- PRO Z890-A WIFI
- PRO Z890-P WIFI
- Z890 GAMING PLUS WIFI
- PRO Z890-S WIFI
- PRO Z890-S WIFI WHITE
- MPG Z890I EDGE TI WIFI
Further, MSI has also registered four new motherboards with the X870 and X870E chipsets:
- MSI MEG X870E GODLIKE
- MSI MPG X870E CARBON WIFI
- MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI
- MSI PRO X870-P WIFI
Out of these, the MSI MEG X870E GODLIKE is the flagship product, while the others are mid-range and budget options. In fact, as per some recent reports, these new chipsets aren’t looking overly expensive.
As we reported earlier, Intel is planning to release the new Arrow Lake CPUs along with the new Z890 motherboard in October, which is in a few weeks. However, this is yet to be officially confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt. In the same report, we also mentioned that there is speculation about Intel equipping the Z890 chipset with an “Intel Default Profile,” so the upcoming Core Ultra 200V CPUs shouldn’t have instability issues due to overvaulting.
