Intel has been gearing up to release its next generation of processors, which is the Arrow Lake series. This 15th-gen lineup is highly anticipated, as the 14th-gen series received so-so reviews, as it was pretty much a refresh and not a real generational upgrade. Those recent stability issues don’t help either. Anyway, so far we have seen specs and benchmarks of a few CPUs surfacing online, such as Core Ultra 9 285K Geekbench results.
However, Intel has yet to confirm these specs officially – so we’ll have to wait until the official launch and early reviews arrive to see how the new processors perform. However, to add to the slew of leaked specifications, BenchLife has posted an update. The update includes what they call “finalized” specs for the Core Ultra 9 285K, which is the flagship processor in the series. The outlet also included the other SKUs if you’re interested.
Finalized specs, according to BenchLife
As per the report, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K will have the following specs. Note that we’re actually getting five SKUs rather than the usual six, as there doesn’t seem to be any information on a ‘285KF’ (the ‘F’ suffix would denote no integrated graphics).
Cores (P+E) | 8+16 |
Threads | 24 |
Intel Smart Cache (L3) | 36MB |
L2 Cache | 40MB |
P-Cores Base | 3.7GHz |
E-Cores Base | 3.2GHz |
P-Cores Max Turbo | Up to 5.6GHz |
E-Cores Max Turbo | Up to 4.6GHz |
Intel TVB | Up to 5.7GHz |
Intel TBMT 3.0 | Up to 5.6GHz |
Processor Base Power | 125W |
Maximum Turbo Power | 250W |
Another major point of online discussion is: when exactly will the Arrow Lake-S lineup come out? We have covered this in our Intel Arrow Lake 15th gen release date article, but this is yet another reminder. Within the last week or so, there have been reports of Intel postponing the launch of its CPUs by a few days – similar to what AMD did with their Ryzen 9000 series.
On the same note, the BenchLife report suggests that Intel has moved the launch date from October 17th to October 24th. Further, the report also says that the company will roll out five processors, which include K and KF series CPUs. Intel will also release “the first phase” of Z890 chip motherboards alongside them. Meanwhile, motherboards featuring the other Intel 800 series chips are likely to be rolled out in January 2025 following CES 2025.
The five processors that will be launched are:
- Core Ultra 9 285K
- Core Ultra 7 265K
- Core Ultra 7 265KF
- Core Ultra 5 245K
- Core Ultra 5 245KF
Reportedly, Intel has not included the Core Ultra 3 processors as part of the launch, which has been speculated earlier. It is likely that Intel will release those CPUs in the next phase. Furthermore, Intel has not revealed anything about the prices of the CPUs. However, earlier this week, a leaker shared screenshots of the upcoming CPUs on a Canadian retailer website, which set the price of the Core Ultra 9 285K at $847.99 (in CAD).
In case you missed it, Intel launched its mobile-chip Lunar Lake processors (a.k.a. the Core Ultra 200V CPUs) for lightweight laptops last week on September 3rd.
