Legion Go 2 should be revealed next week, leaked promo reveals OLED screen, Z2 Extreme processor, and more
Ever since Lenovo showcased a Legion Go 2 prototype at CES 2025, fans have been eagerly waiting for the handheld to hit the market. The company has stayed silent about the device since its reveal, so there have been no official updates. However, a reliable leaker has recently shared an exciting new update, suggesting we might see an official reveal soon.
Although Lenovo did unveil the Legion Go 2 at CES 2025, it was only a prototype. While it gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the successor to the original 2023 model, the specs weren’t final, so everyone has been waiting to see the finished version. Now, Evan Blass, who is considered one of the most reliable tech leakers, has shared promotional materials for the upcoming IFA event, suggesting Lenovo will officially reveal the Legion Go 2 at the event.
If this leak is accurate, we’ll finally get to see the handheld in just a few days, as the event starts on September 5. IFA is a major tech event where companies showcase various products they’ve been developing. According to the leaked promotional materials, Lenovo is planning to launch the Legion Go 2 during the event. This also lines up with what a Lenovo representative mentioned back in June, when they told a fan the device would arrive in their online store sometime in September.
The leaked materials also revealed the specifications, confirming the Legion Go 2 will feature an 8.8-inch PureSight OLED display with VRR and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, making it the second handheld to use this chip after the MSI Claw A8 (the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X will also be powered by it). It’s also expected to support up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of storage, which will be more than enough for most users.
Many of these specs match up with the prototype specs that Lenovo showed off back at CES 2025, as well as leaked specs sourced from some users getting hands-on access with engineering samples, though the reported 1600p resolution differs from that 1920 x 1200 spec we saw previously.

Lenovo has also made big improvements to the design. The device comes with a next-gen excimer coating, which is fingerprint-resistant and easy to clean. Speaking of fingerprints, there’s also a fingerprint reader on the top of the device. Additionally, the company has improved the layout of the back buttons, which should make it more comfortable to hold, especially during long gaming sessions. The leaked promotional materials, however, didn’t mention the price, but we’re expecting it to be higher than the Legion Go S due to all the new features.
