MSI MPG X870E CARBON and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6400

What does the Newegg 3-in-1 AMD 9950X bundle offer?

The AMD 9950X bundle comes packed with three high-performance components, and you can learn more about them below.

CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X

First, we have the Ryzen 9 9950X processor. This is the top model in the latest Ryzen 9000 series CPU lineup, which was launched in August this year. The CPU is built on the Zen 5 architecture, which offers major improvements over the previous one, such as a 16% IPC uplift. Aside from that, it boasts 16 cores, 32 threads, and an L3 cache of 64 MB. It also operates at a base frequency of 4.3 GHz, which can go up to 5.7 GHz during demanding tasks. Further, it has a TDP of 170W, which is already expected from a high-performance CPU.

We reviewed the Ryzen 9 9950X and found it to be a great processor for gaming and content creation. In synthetic tests, the processor passed with flying colors, delivering more than 40,000 points in tests like Cinebench R23 multi-core. However, do keep in mind that you’ll need to pair it with one of the best CPU coolers for 9950X to keep it cool during intense tasks.

Motherboard: MSI MPG X870E Carbon

Next, we have the MSI MPG X870E Carbon motherboard. Just by taking a look at it, you’ll be able to tell that this board is designed for high-performance builds. It offers an all-black theme, but you’ll find two RGB accent zones – one on the I/O cover with the dragon logo and the other on the M.2 SSD cover with the Carbon logo. However, if you prefer a minimal look, you can keep the lights turned off.

When it comes to specs, the MSI MPG X870E Carbon has a solid VRM system in the form of an 18+2+1 Duet Rail power system. This should help with preventing stability and performance issues. On top of that, its PCB has been optimized for higher bandwidth and faster transfer speeds. For cooling, it offers an extended heatsink, high-quality 7W/mK MOSFET thermal pads and extra choke thermal pads, and Double-sided M.2 Shield Frozr.

The board can support up to four DDR5 RAM sticks, with a maximum capacity of 256GB. You’ll also find three PICe x16 slots – two 5.0 slots and one 4.0 slot. For SSDs, there are four M.2 slots, but you can also connect standard HDDs using four SATA 6GB/s ports. On the back, you’ll find 13 USB ports, with two of them being 40 GB/s Type C ports. For the complete specs, you can head over to the official product page of MSI MPG X870E Carbon.

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB

For RAM, Newegg has decided to add the CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR6 RAM. The kit comes with two 16GB sticks, each having a maximum speed of up to 6400 MHz. This is a high-performance memory with a 36 CAS Latency. Aside from that, 32GB should be more than enough for the latest games. However, as the motherboard can support up to 256GB RAM, you can upgrade later if needed. Also, like some of the best RAMs for gaming, there’s also RGB on the top of the sticks, which you can keep turned off or on.

How much will you save?

The whole purpose of the bundle is to help you save a good amount of money so you can easily get some other parts for your rig. If you buy the three components individually, you’ll need to spend around $1,247. However, Newegg is offering all three of them for only $1,090 through the bundle. What does this mean? You’ll save $157, which you can use to get another component, such as one of the best PSUs for the Ryzen 9 9950X.
