ASUS ROG Ally X may be a premium handheld device, but it still has its fair share of issues. It hasn’t been long since the handheld launched, with some notable upgrades compared to the original ROG Ally. Recently, its users have been complaining about facing performance issues after installing the latest GPU drivers. And now, it seems like another problem has popped up on the surface, which is preventing users from accessing the AMD software on their handheld devices.

Quick fix for “No AMD Software application installed” bug

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition is an essential piece of software that is used to access different features, game stats, driver updates, and much more. On the ROG Ally, you can use it to customize performance levels, adjust the RGB, and tweak the settings.

In other words, it is an integral part of the handheld or any other device with an AMD GPU installed. However, due to a bug, some users are facing an error that says, “No AMD Software application installed.” The worst part is that it pops up even after downloading all the drivers, leaving some users puzzled.

However, even though the issue may seem daunting and can leave you frustrated, there appears to be a simple fix for it. On Reddit, where the issue was shared, a user mentioned that he was able to fix the issue by updating the AMD software directly through the Microsoft Store. According to him, this will automatically update all ASUS applications, including MyAsus, AMD Adrenalin, and Armoury Crate.

Another user also claimed that the error popped up on their device after they installed an update from the Armoury Crate. However, the issue was later fixed after they installed the pending updates from the Microsoft Store. In any case, it’s great to see that such a frustrating issue can be fixed through a simple method, so you won’t have to worry about following a complicated procedure.
