September 10 has arrived, which means it’s time for GeForce Now Ultimate members to start enjoying RTX 5080 performance on the cloud gaming platform. As we confirmed last week, today’s the day this update starts rolling out, and you can actually follow along with where the RTX 5080 servers go live – or ‘light up’ – on Nvidia’s website.

One thing we should warn you about is that this upgrade won’t be immediately available in every region; some will have to wait until at least 2026. This includes Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, much of South America, and more. In any case, the start of 5080-level performance support arrives just in time for Borderlands 4, which launches on GFN on day one and supports DLSS 4 features you’ll be able to make the most of on the 5080-level Blackwell servers.

Based on the map so far (at the time of writing), the following regions have RTX 5080 servers online or rolling out:

  • San Jose
  • Los Angeles
  • Chicago
  • Newark
  • Paris
  • Frankfurt

The rollout map on Nvidia’s website is the best way of seeing when the RTX 5080 upgrade will be available in your region. Along with the RTX 5080 upgrade, GFN users also benefit from the new Install-to-Play feature, which promises to instantly double the number of Steam games on the streaming platform. It’s not immediately clear if this will be available at the same time the 5080 servers go live, but that’s the soonest we can expect it.

As you can see from the graph above, Nvidia boasts massively improved performance when comparing the existing RTX 4080 servers for GFN Ultimate subscribers versus the new RTX 5080 servers. This is with DLSS Multi Frame Generation (MFG) on 4x for the 50 series card, and 2x for the 4080. MFG is exclusive to the 50 series, in case you didn’t already know.

So, with the new update rolling out, be sure to follow along with the RTX 5080 server map on Nvidia’s website to know exactly when it is available in your region. Blackwell RTX on GeForce Now delivers up to 5K 120 FPS gameplay, the new Cinematic Quality Streaming mode, and even 90 FPS streaming on the Steam Deck.
