Each generation of Nvidia GPUs is more powerful than the last with buffed-up specifications, but that may also mean a price increase. Now that we've had a look at the specifications of the RTX 5090, which looks to be miles ahead of the RTX 4090, the pricing is a concern for many. It is set to become the best graphics card on the market.

There were rumors that the RTX 5090 has an MSRP of up to $2,500, but that might not be entirely true. While there will likely be a price increase as you get better hardware, it shouldn’t be as much as the leaks and rumors would lead us to believe.

How much will the RTX 5090 cost?

According to a post by kopite7kimi on X, they said: “I don’t believe there will be a significant price increase for RTX 5090.” This is a reputable leaker, but at the end of the day, a leak is a leak, and we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt. For further reference, kopite7kimi also gave us a quick look at some leaked 5090 specs and is generally respected on the hardware leaking front.

We should see the RTX 50 series lineup at CES 2025 if current rumors are anything to go by. Until then, we can only make an educated guess as to what the flagship graphics card will be priced at. The RTX 4090 launched with an MSRP of $1,599, and the RTX 5090 easily overshadows it with its 32GB VRAM and GDDR7 memory.

So, if the price increase isn't significant, we could see the RTX 5090 drop with an MSRP of $1,800 – $2,000. That said, once again, this is an informative guess; Nvidia has not officially announced the pricing of the next-generation lineup.
