Game modding is one of the joys of PC gaming, and while it has bled over to the console crowd to some degree, the number of free mods available on PC for games like Red Dead Redemption 2 offers seemingly endless possibilities. Mods range from the practical (such as this recent Starfield Open City mod) to the ludicrous, and the one we’re featuring today very much sits on the latter end of the spectrum.

Someone has made a mod that speeds up horses, wagons, carriages, or other relevant traffic to supersonic speeds, essentially creating a canvas for chaos any time you encounter an NPC on their travels. You may have seen something similar before in Grand Theft Auto.

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets its own ‘Fast Traffic’ mod

Inspired by the old GTA 4 Super Fast Traffic mod which speeds up nearly all vehicles, YouTuber Blurbs has been showing off a similar gameplay mod for RDR2. As you’d expect, it results in all sorts of carnage which ensures you’ll want to double and triple-check before crossing the road. We’d imagine that the popular Wild West game probably doesn’t have as many ‘vehicles’ to look out for, but that clearly doesn’t stop innocent bystanders from being taken out in (mostly) hilarious fashion. If not, someone is getting flung from a horse for sure – or you’re getting jumpscared.

Right now, we haven’t spotted any way to download this mod for yourself, but we hope to see it uploaded online to give it a try ourselves. In the meantime, you can check out the antics in the video just below; watch out for flying horses and carts.

If you’re looking for any kind of mod for RDR2, we recommend checking out the Nexus Mods page for the game. Whether you want ‘Instant Travel‘ or ‘Quickdraw‘, the site offers a collection of easy-to-download modifications.
