There are technicalities that, if you're not familiar with them, can be very frustrating, as even veteran builders run into issues seemingly without any cause. For example, the PC won't boot nor detect the mouse, and it doesn't matter if the mouse or ports are brand new.
With that in mind, pre-built gaming PCs offer a good alternative and save you time, effort, and headaches. CPU: Intel Core i9-13900F
The CPU that powers this gaming PC is the i9-13900F. If you're not aware of this processor, it isn't your fault, as the 13900K took all the limelight. The 13900F is a tamer version of the 13900K, which we've reviewed.
It has 24 cores and 32 threads, the same as the 13900K, but the difference comes in the clock speed and TDP. It has a lower boost and base clock of 5.6GHz and 1.5GHz, respectively. However, that also means it is more efficient and easy to cool down, as its base and turbo power are 65W and 219W, respectively, compared to 13900K's 125W and 253W.
However, as long as it gets the power the cores need, its gaming and professional performance shouldn't suffer too much. That means easily playing whichever game you want. This CPU doesn't have an integrated GPU, which isn't a big deal as you're getting the complete package with a discrete GPU.
GPU: RTX 4070
While the RTX 4070 might have been overshadowed by the RTX 4070 Super, this doesn't diminish its capabilities. We tested this GPU in-house for our RTX 4070 review, and it had great gaming and synthetic performance.
This card was able to natively push 4K in some titles, depending on their graphical fidelity and optimization, whereas more demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 saw FPS of 108, 74, and 27, at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, respectively.
That said, we test our GPUs without enabling AI upscaling so these framerates can be further bolstered by leveraging DLSS. Overall, the RTX 4070's performance is nothing to scoff at and it should be able to run any modern AAA title without an issue.
RAM: 32GB DDR5 5,600 MHz
This pre-built PC comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5,600 MHz. 32GB RAM is enough for gaming and work, especially considering that it is running at 5,600 MHz. This frequency sits in the middle of the RAM performance hierarchy but goes well with the overall build. So, you shouldn't run into system memory issues regardless of how intensive your gaming or work session gets.
PSU: 500W Platinum
The RTX 4070 draws 200W, while the 13900F pulls around 65W/219W, totaling 265W or 419W. This leaves an overhead of 81W, which should be fine as you can only overclock the GPU. The multiplier on the 13900F is locked, meaning it can't be overclocked. That said, the 500W PSU is Platinum rated, so it should be 89% to 90% efficient, according to Cooler Master.
Connectivity
As for the connectivity options in the Alienware Aurora R16 PC, there are plenty of ports on the front and the back. In the front, you'll get the following:

- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with power-sharing technology
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with power-sharing technology
In the back, you have:
