The RTX 5060 release date has arrived, and it’s time to count down to when you’ll be able to buy one. We’ve put together everything you need to know regarding the RTX 5060 release time. The card is launching today, May 19th, and has slowly started to show up on retailers’ storefronts online; check out our dedicated Where to buy RTX 5060 page if you’re looking for one.

It’s safe to say the RTX 5060 launch doesn’t follow Nvidia’s regular procedure. Hardware reviewers have already criticized the company as a result of stricter guidelines and a lack of GPU drivers ahead of launch day. This means that RTX 5060 reviews will be hard to come by while reviewers scramble to benchmark the card, especially with Computex 2025 now underway.

Has the RTX 5060 launch time been confirmed?

While Nvidia hasn’t confirmed the exact time of the RTX 5060 release, we can already see on its website that the new graphics card will be available from today, May 19th. It has also confirmed that 5060 GPUs, desktops, and laptops will launch in tandem worldwide. Based on all previous RTX 50 series launches, we expect the 5060 to be available for purchase from 6 AM, Pacific Time; here’s how that translates to other regions:

  • US Pacific (PDT): 6 AM
  • US Eastern (EDT): 9 AM
  • United Kingdom (BST): 2 PM
  • Central Europe (CEST): 3 PM
  • India (IST): 6:30 PM
  • Sydney, Australia (AEST): 11 PM
  • Auckland, New Zealand (NZST): 1 AM, May 20th

How long will the RTX 5060 remain in stock after release?

Regarding launch day availability, we can’t be certain of healthy stock levels. What we can say, however, is that every single RTX 50 series launch so far has had trouble with limited stock across a wide range of retailers. This is partly due to GPU scalpers (which were especially prevalent on the high-end RTX 5090 and 5080 cards), which Nvidia tackled with its Verified Priority Access program. It’s unlikely we’ll see the same initiative for the 5060.

Even with the existence of scalpers, availability for this generation has been fairly lackluster. Not just Nvidia either, as AMD has been struggling to keep up with demand with its RX 9070 series. In any case, considering a lack of RTX 5060 reviews ahead of launch, and reviewer backlash, we don’t expect the new card to fly off the shelves quite as fast as prior cards.
