RTX 5080’s first Amazon US listing has finally appeared, a few days ahead of release

The RTX 5080 was officially announced alongside three other cards at CES 2025. It will be available soon, as Nvidia confirmed that this high-end model will be released on January 30, which is just a few days away. However, reports suggest that the RTX 5080, along with the flagship RTX 5090, will be hard to get at launch due to “extremely limited supply”.
Despite this, many are ready to grab one at launch. And if you’re planning to buy it from Amazon, you’ll be glad to know that the first listing for the RTX 5080 has finally appeared on the US site. RTX 5080 finally listed on Amazon US
Last week, the RTX 5080 appeared on Amazon NL, and since then, many have been waiting for it to show up in the US store. And now, the PNY GeForce RTX 5080 ARGB Overclocked Triple Fan has been listed on Amazon US, but the price is not mentioned. Amazon just shows “currently unavailable,” and we’re expecting the price to get updated on January 30 as there seems to be no option for pre-order.

According to Nvidia, the RTX 5080 will launch with an MSRP of $999. However, it is important to keep in mind that this will be for the Founders Edition, as third-party models will enter the market with a higher price tag. This is often because they offer features like unique designs, better cooling, and higher clock speeds. So, you can expect them to have a $200 to $500 higher price tag than the Founders Edition. However, as the RTX 5080 will be difficult to get at launch, scalpers will most likely try to take advantage of the situation and list it at much higher prices.
In any case, the RTX 5080 comes with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Its predecessor, the RTX 4080, also had 16GB of memory, but the 5080 uses the newer GDDR7 standard. It also features 10,752 CUDA cores, a 30 Gbps memory clock, and a 360W TDP, which is 40W higher than the 4080. While it’s a bit disappointing that Nvidia didn’t increase the VRAM, as many were hoping for at least 20GB, Nvidia claims that DLSS 4’s Multi Frame Generation, a feature exclusive to RTX 50-series cards, will significantly improve performance compared to the previous generation.
