What’s the difference between the Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra?
While the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra share the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the Ultra is the more premium, productivity-focused model. The Fold 8 has a 5.5-inch cover display and 7.6-inch inner display, while the Ultra expands those to 6.5 inches and 8 inches, respectively. The standard Fold8 is also lighter at 201g, compared with 215g for the Ultra.
Battery capacity is 4,800mAh on the Fold 8 versus 5,000mAh on the Ultra, with Samsung rating them for up to 26 and 27 hours of video playback, respectively. Perhaps the biggest difference is the camera system. The Fold 8 uses a 50MP main camera and 50MP ultrawide, while the Ultra upgrades considerably to a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.
