Micro Center 3-in-1 7600X bundle
What does the 3-in-1 7600X bundle offer?
Micro Center has paired the Ryzen 5 7600X, a solid CPU from the Ryzen 7000 series lineup, with the ASUS B650M-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi motherboard and G.Skill Flare X5 RAM. You can learn more about each component below.
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
First, we have the Ryzen 5 7600X, which was released back in 2022. This is a solid processor for those who want an AM5 CPU that can deliver great performance but don’t want to overspend on it.
For starters, it has 6 cores and 12 threads, and it utilizes the hyperthreading technology. What does this mean? Well, this technology assigns two threads to a single core, which helps improve overall performance. Aside from that, it has a base frequency of 4.7 GHz paired with a max boost clock of 5.3 GHz.
We reviewed the Ryzen 5 7600X and found it to be a processor that offers higher performance at a low power cost. This is the reason why we gave it 4.5 out of 5 points. To get an idea about its real-life performance, we tested it in synthetic benchmarks, including CPU Z, Cinebench, Geekbench, and a few more. Without any surprises, the CPU passed with flying colors in all of them.
Motherboard: ASUS B650M-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi
For the motherboard, Micro Center has decided to go with the ASUS B650M-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi. This is a pretty clean-looking board that offers an all-black theme. On top of that, it is a micro-ATX board, so it’s small in size and should be able to fit inside almost every PC case, of course including micro ATX cases.
When it comes to specifications, you’ll find four DDR5 RAM slots on the board. These can support a max capacity of 192GB, which will be more than enough for most users. Aside from that, there are only two M.2 slots for SSDs, which is expected from a micro-ATX board. However, you can use four SATA 6Gb/s ports to connect standard HDDs if you want to expand your storage.
As far as the I/O ports are concerned, there are eight USB ports, one DisplayPort and HDMI port, one WiFi module, five audio jacks, and one BIOS FlashBack button. If you have a high-speed internet plan, then you’ll be happy to know that the board also offers a 2.5G Ethernet port, which should help you set up a fast and stable wired internet connection. The B650M-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
RAM: G.Skill DDR5 Flare X5 series
Finally, the bundle offers 16GB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM from G.Skill. This is what most modern games require these days, so you will be fine with it. However, if the need arises, you can always upgrade the RAM later to 32GB by throwing in another 16GB stick. However, make sure it’s similar to the one included in the bundle for the best performance.
How much will you save?
The three components will cost you around $435 if you buy them individually. However, Micro Center is offering them for only $339.99, helping you save $95. This money can be used to get one of the best power supplies for gaming or invested in other remaining components, such as one of the best AIO coolers to keep the temps low.
