Micro Center 3-in-1 7800X3D bundle
What does the Micro Center 3-in-1 7800X3D bundle offer?
First off, keep in mind that this bundle is limited to in-store pickup only, so you'll need to visit a nearby Micro Center branch to collect it after placing an order online.
The bundle pairs the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, one of the best CPUs for gaming, with the ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi motherboard and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. All three components are pretty solid, and you can learn more about them in detail below.
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is one of the best processors for gaming out there. It delivers excellent performance in the latest games, and this is why we gave it 4.5 out of 5 marks in our 7800X3D review.
For starters, this CPU is part of the Ryzen 7000 series lineup and, thanks to X3D technology, comes with a stacked L3 cache. It has 8 cores and 16 threads and can operate at a max speed of up to 5 GHz. Aside from that, it has a TDP of 120W, so it can generate a lot of heat during extended gaming sessions. So, we recommend getting one of the best CPU coolers for the 7800X3D to keep the temps low.
For our review, we tested it in different synthetic benchmarks to understand its real-life performance. In CPU Z single and multi-core tests, it delivered 643 and 7,085 points, respectively. On the other hand, in the Cinebench R23 single-core test, the 7800X3D hit 1,665 points, and 17,581 points in the multi-core test.
Motherboard: ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi
The ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi is a solid motherboard for those who want something that not only looks great but also packs features that can help improve the performance of your build.
For starters, it can support up to four DDR5 RAM sticks, with a maximum storage and speed of 192 GB and 7600 MHz + (OC). Aside from that, it offers around nine USB ports to help you connect peripherals. There's also one DisplayPort, HDMI port, WiFi module, five Audio Jacks, one BIOS FlashBack button, and one 2.5G Ethernet port located on the back panel.
An interesting feature of the board is that it comes with a PCIe slot Q-Release button. This allows you to easily remove the GPU from the motherboard by gently pressing a button. In addition, there are three M.2 slots for SSDs and four SATA 6Gb/s ports for standard hard drives. The ROG logo on the I/O cover also offers RGB lighting, but you can keep this turned off if you’re not a fan of that aesthetic.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 series
For the RAM, Micro Center has decided to include the G.Skill Flare X5 series. The kit includes two 16GB DDR5 sticks, each capable of reaching a max speed of up to 6000 MHz. 32GB of RAM should be more than enough for most tasks, including gaming and content creation.
How much will you save?
You'd have to spend $799.97 if you purchase these components individually. In fact, they can cost more, considering the 7800X3D is difficult to get these days, and it was selling for over $600 on Newegg a few weeks back. However, thanks to Micro Center's offer, you can get all three items for only $649.99, saving around $150. With this money, you can get one of the best power supplies for gaming to make sure your components are getting enough power and are safe from power-related issues.
In case you want a bundle with a GPU, then you can check out Micro Center's RX 7900 XT bundle, which offers four components.
