JSAUX has been building up to the release of its custom Steam Machine faceplates with displays, and they’re finally here. The popular accessories brand revealed the price, specs, and features a few weeks ago, and now you can order one: $99.99 for the E-Ink panel and $89.99 for the Pixel Matrix panel, both of which are expected to start shipping in early October.

Valve’s new Steam Machine has been available since late June, but orders are still being processed through the reservation queue. Last we heard, Valve said it expects current reservations to be checked off by the end of the year, and orders are being fulfilled on a daily basis. JSAUX’s new faceplates add extra functionality and customization to the cubed mini PC.

Although JSAUX originally revealed three different prototypes earlier this year, it has settled on two final products. The E-Ink model features an always-on display that blends into the Steam Machine build, with a low-power design that works seamlessly with a built-in 500mAh battery and “up to 22 days of runtime”.

As for the Pixel Matrix panel, the full-size 7-inch panel offers colorful visuals, allowing users to display live system stats and custom GIFs. The main catch is the higher power draw than the E-Ink variant, so it requires a USB-C connection to the back of the Steam Machine – JSAUX previously showed off improvements with “cleaned up” wiring to make it less noticeable.
