Even years after launch, Valve’s Steam Deck is still one of the best handhelds on the market, providing an excellent gaming experience on the go. While you’re on your travels, it’s best to secure the device inside a case to prevent damage. While Valve does ship the Deck with an official case, there are many custom cases – and we’ve spotted yet another.

If you happen to own a 3D printer, there’s a unique case you can print yourself. One creator has designed a custom enclosure that holds both a Steam Deck and a Logitech K380 keyboard, and the best part is that all the files are completely free. With this setup, your Steam Deck can function almost like a small laptop.

Custom 3D-printable enclosure for Steam Deck

The idea behind the project is simple. The Logitech K380 keyboard pairs well with the Steam Deck. The creator noticed how well the two devices fit together and decided to design an enclosure that snaps them into one compact unit. Once assembled, it becomes a lightweight portable case that you can throw in your bag and use anywhere.

The enclosure itself is made from several 3D-printed parts. They are easy to print on most consumer 3D printers, and the creator made sure the parts don’t require any complicated tools or soldering. You only need some M3 screws and a few heat inserts. After placing the heat inserts, you screw everything together, place the Steam Deck inside, and use the built-in display lock to secure the setup.
