For a while now, there have been speculations about Intel’s next lineup of desktop CPUs – the Arrow Lake series. So far, it has been established that Intel is working on the processors. Plus, there are a few leaked benchmarks that have shown some impressive numbers.
To date, there has been no officially confirmed release date for the processors. However, as per a recent report, Intel might roll out the next generation of CPUs in October.
Intel to roll out Arrow Lake processors on October 17th
According to a recent report on ChannelGate, Intel is preparing to launch the Arrow Lake CPUs on October 17th, which is in a few weeks. To be more specific, the report says that Intel will release a new motherboard platform, Z890, along with the processors.
“At the same time, it is confirmed that INTEL’s new generation motherboard platform Z890 series new products will be officially launched on October 17,” the statement says in Chinese (translated to English online).
As we reported earlier, it was said that Intel would release the Arrow Lake processors shortly after it launches the Core Ultra 200V processors. The Core Ultra 200V CPUs, which will power thin and light laptops, are scheduled to launch on September 3rd. If the October 17th release date is credible, it means that the previous speculations are true and Intel’s schedule is on track.
In contrast to this, there were some reports suggesting that the Arrow Lake release might be delayed due to the ongoing backlash that the company has been facing. However, the ChannelGate report seems to suggest otherwise.
In any case, at launch, we are likely to see three processors – the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, and Core Ultra 5 245K. In addition to this, there will be more powerful “F” variants without iGPU available. All the processors will feature the new Lion Cove P-Core, Skymont E-Core architecture. There have been speculations that a fourth CPU, a Core Ultra 3, is in the works.
Even though the report seems credible, Intel has not officially confirmed the launch date, so take it with a grain of salt. If the status changes, we will report it immediately.
