Fans have been waiting nearly ten years for the latest entry to the Dragon Age series and it’s now just a couple of weeks away. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be available to play on PC on platforms such as Steam from October 31st, 2024. Much like the recently added Battle.net, Steam is capable of synchronizing your games library with GeForce Now, Nvidia’s game streaming service.

The game is currently available to pre-order, but if you’re a regular user of GeForce Now, the good news is that you’ll be able to pick up a copy for free with an Ultimate subscription.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard comes free with Ultimate

As can be seen on the Nvidia GeForce Now website, the upcoming Dragon Age title will be “free with purchase” with the Ultimate subscription. Keep in mind that while Ultimate will set you back $99.99 every 6 months, it offers excellent performance with an RTX 4080 rig over the cloud, with support for RTX ray tracing. Do note that this offer only looks to be available with the 6-month subscription; the 1-month option omits it.

We recently got a closer look at the Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC system requirements and noticed they are pretty demanding. If you do indeed want to play at 4K, with or without ray tracing enabled, the game recommends an RTX 4080 graphics card. This is what the Ultimate tier offers you – via the game streaming service. We’ve reviewed the RTX 4080 and weren’t disappointed with the 4K gaming performance, so this seems to be an ideal partnership.

Keep in mind that this is listed as a limited-time offer. There is no clear indication as of yet for how long it will last. As we mentioned earlier, the game will be released at the end of October – so it makes sense to get your subscription in prior to that date if you want to play on launch day. The game is also Steam Deck Verified, though we imagine you’ll want to make the most of that RTX 4080-level performance instead while on the go via streaming.
