Now this is a pretty interesting, well-balanced build that makes some smart choices from a price-to-performance perspective.
Firstly, it pairs an RTX 5060 8GB with an Intel i7-14700F and throws in 32GB of DDR5, too. This is a very different configuration from what you’d usually get for around $1,200 or so with an RTX 5060 build, as you’ve got a higher core-count CPU and a hefty amount of DDR5 RAM instead of DDR4. The processor features 20 cores (8P and 12E), 28 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.4GHz, and 33MB L3 cache. Why should you consider this PC?
A more versatile, all-rounder RTX 5060 PC
With a high core-count CPU and loads of DDR5, this PC is as much a workstation as it is a beefy FHD gaming machine. And for the price, it’s actually quite competitive, too.
It’s a good option if you’re not too fussed about upgrading
It’s on the older LGA 1700 platform, which means you’ve got a slightly more limited upgrade path than if you were on the LGA 1851 platform. A deal-killer for some, perhaps, but not for all, especially if you want to use this PC as is for years to come.
A more minimal, performance-orientated aesthetic
It looks great, for sure, but it’s nowhere near as flashy as some prebuilds on the market. That’s a good sign for those who value performance above all, as it means your cash is going more toward components than cosmetics.
